On the 18 of September 2017, a young lady gave birth to a strange-looking baby in Biogbolo Epie community under Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state. When we first got the gist, it was under the impression that a young lady living in Biogbolo town gave birth to half human and half.

Bayelsa State: Police Sergeant Kill by Suspected crude oil thieves.

Suspected crude oil thieves yesterday 19th of September, attacked a Police checkpoint and Police Divisional headquarters in Kolo Community of Ogbia Local Government Area Council of Bayelsa State, killing a Police Sergeant and carting away his service rifle.

Also injured in the attack were a Police corporal and two Civilians from the Kolo and Oloibiri communities of Ogbia Local Council.

‎ Gist Me Now gathered that the incident, which occurred at about 8pm on Monday, sparked confusion in the community with indigenes and Policemen attached to the Kolo Divisional headquarters scampering for safety.

While a community source said ‎that the attackers, numbering Four and armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, were stopped for a stop-and-search operation at the checkpoint by policemen and a discovery of bunkered kerosene was discovered in their vehicle.

Others claimed the attacked checkpoint, ‎being operated by the Kolo Divisional Police, was known for the alleged illegal collection of bribes from suspected illegal bunkers passing through the area and the attack was due to arguments on the amount demanded by the policemen.

we also gathered that the attackers came down from the vehicle and shot dead the Policeman and attack the injured corporal with a machete,” the other two policemen took to their heels and ran into the Police station. The boys chased them into the station but left without further attack.”

An indigene of the community, who tried to assist the police, was also attacked with a machete.

Confirming the incident, the authorities of the Bayelsa State Police Command through its spokesperson, Astim Butswat, confirmed that the police sergeant was killed, and his firearm stolen.

According to his Statement, ” the Bayelsa state command wishes to use this medium to inform the general public that on 4th of September,2017 at about 2030hrs, policemen on vehicular patrol along Kolo 2 in Ogbia Local Government area were attacked by unknown gunmen”

” Based on a tip-off the policemen intercepted a vehicle conveying suspected militants. Two of the suspects were arrested and handcuffed but resisted any attempt by policemen to search their vehicle in the ensuing uproar, members of the community gathered around the vehicle and rescued the arrested suspect, and the policemen were attacked.”

” The Command regrettably lost a police sergeant and arms a police corporal and a civilian were injured and are responding to treatment in the hospital. Members of the Public are advised to assist the police in fighting crime rather than compound police investigations as the crowd was partly responsible for the attack on the policemen.”

Ijaw Youth Council faults police over move to prosecute 59 arrested IPOB members for terrorism

IJAW youths from the Nine states of the Niger Delta have condemned the move by Nigerian Police Force to arraign in court 59 arrested members of the proscribe Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) over alleged charge of  terrorism.

The Ijaw youths, under the aegis of Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) worldwide, urged the Attorney General of the Federation whose duty it is to advice the President and Commander in Chief on weighty legal issues to adequately clarify the air on the steps and elements of the offence that must be proven before declaring genuine agitations as a terrorist group.

The Spokesman of the Eric Omare led faction of the IYC, Henry Iyalla, who stated this in a statement issued via email, stated that “the attention of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has been drawn to a report contained in national dailies on the recent move by the Commissioner of Police in Abia State, that the arrested members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) will be tried based on Terrorism charges in Court.”

“It is quit unfortunate that peaceful agitations and assembly would be termed as a terrorist organization without following the laid down procedures and steps as contained in the Terrorism Prevention Act 2011 as amended and Extant Laws.

 “It must be stated that for a person or a group of persons to be termed as a terrorist organization, certain elements of the said offence must have been breached, however, in the instant case the reverse is the obvious.

 “We therefore call on the Attorney General of the Federation whose duty it is to advice the President and Commander in Chief on weighty legal issues to adequately clarify on the steps and elements of the offence that must be proven before terming genuine agitations as a Terrorist Group.”
“Similarly, we call on the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Community not to watch while innocent persons are been killed, assaulted and subjected to un usual torture in total contravention of our Laws and international Treaties Nigeria have assented to and domesticated.”

El-Rufai: "Yar'adua Fought Me, And Ended Up In the Grave"

The Controversial Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has made a statement that people consider derogatory at the recent Kaduna APC stakeholders meeting held at Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna.

According to the Kaduna state governor, while taking a jab at former president, Yar ‘Adua, he bragged in Hausa that Yar ‘Adua fought him, and he is in the Grave now.

The Governor who also talked about his fight with Goodluck Jonathan said he ended up losing the Election and he is in his village, Otueke now after fighting him.

Nasir El-Rufai who warned his political opponents not to fight him said.

“I had fought with two presidents, Umaru Yar’Adua ended in his grave, while President Goodluck Jonathan ended in Otueke.”

Nnamdi Kanu Petitions UN, EU, US, UK, Russia, Israel, Over Military Operation.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has petitioned the European Union on the ongoing military operation in south east region of Nigeria.



The IPOB leader in the petitioned dated September 14, accused the Nigerian military of intimidation, torture, arrest, abduction and killing of civilian populace in the southeast.

The letter written by the counsel to the IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, was addressed to the secretary general of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, the European Union High Commission, the presidents of United States of America, Russia and Israel.

Other countries include; the United Kingdom and France.

Kanu in his letter called for the immediate intervention of the UN, the EU, the US and these other countries on the invasion of the military in the region.

He urged the comity of nations to prevail on the Nigerian government to suspend further military action in the south eastern states of the country and withdraw ‘the rampaging troops’ from the region.

The letter reads: “Unarmed civilians largely made up members of the Indigenous People of Biafra are now being tortured and murdered in cold blood on a daily basis.”

Also attaching video and photographs of victims of the alleged attack, Kanu said the hostility against the IPOB members has escalated to other neigbouring states resulting in bloody casualties.

He said: “We have no doubt that the undisclosed reason for deploying troops to south eastern states by the President Buhari-led administration is to attack unarmed and defencesless members of the Indigenous People of Biafra who are merely exercising their constitutional guaranteed rights to self-determination.”

He added that while innocent bloood are being wasted in the region, the 1999 Constitution as amended did not allow the deployment of soldiers in the region in a manner presently done by the federal government.

Kanu noted that without the intervention of the comity of nations, the killings and torture would continue.

“The situation in the south east of Nigeria is serious and demand your urgent action Sir.

“The modus operandi of the Operation Python Dance II presently adopted by the military deployed in the south east offends all known rules of professional engagement even in a war zone,” Kanu added.

Vivian Okyere and the Enchanting Love of a Little Boy

Ghanaian actor, Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo popularly called Dabo, has announced he will wed his sweetheart, Vivian Okyere soon.

The two actors featured in Kumawood's movie “Megye wo girl” in which Yaw Dabo snatched Vivian Okyere from his boss.

And now, much to fans’ delight, that romance is becoming a reality.

Dabo told the Ghanaian website, Ghpage that he has been dating Vivian for some time now.

In a video recorded in May, Vivian reiterated her love for Dabo, after the public expressed doubts about the authenticity of their relationship.

Vivian professed his love for Dabo, saying:

“My love for Yaw Dabo it’s natural, Don’t underestimate him, He is my heart.”

Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo popularly called Dabo was born in 1998. He is a comic actor in the Kumawood movie industry from Ghana. Due to his little size, he found it a bit difficult in his career but was later introduced into the movie industry by popular actor Kwaku Manu.

The young actor is also an entrepreneur as he owns three football clubs in the colts division with U-10, U-14, and U-17 teams.

In a recent interview, Dabo said that he was crazy about Vivian and had accepted her love with alacrity. He said the two of them understand each other and dismissed suggestions that Vivian could be after his money.

He said Vivian genuinely loved him and was not in any way drawn to his riches. The actor said he could announce a date to wed Vivian sooner rather than later.

“It won’t be long at all, maybe we can announce our wedding date,” he said.

EFCC Confirms Moves To Extradite Diezani Alison-madueke

The anti-graft agency, EFCC, on Wednesday, confirmed that plans were in place to extradite a former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. Several Nigerians have called for her extradition from the UK after different corruption allegations were leveled against her.

Properties worth billions of Naira linked to her have since been forfeited to the federal government, many permanently. Speaking on Wednesday while addressing journalists, civic groups, and others, the EFCC acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu, confirmed the moves to extradite Mrs. Alison-Madueke.

“I want you to know that nobody will go unpunished. We are even seeking to extradite Diezani, but investigations are still ongoing,” Mr. Magu said.

“We have reached a level where nobody can stop us in the fight against corruption, but we all must realize that we are all stakeholders, and this fight is for the future generation.”

He added that all Nigerians must play their roles, “because EFCC can only do its best; but we must support the agency, and the law should take its course, policies should be strengthened, and punishment must be meted out in good time.”

Mr. Magu also blamed recent separatist agitations in Nigeria on corruption.

“Every evil that is happening now is caused by corruption: agitations, strikes, whatever. Corruption has chased our good human resources out of the country. It is the duty of this generation to correct the evils caused by corruption.”

The anti-graft chief also spoke on corruption among members of his organization.

“I want you to tell us if there is corruption in the EFCC,” he said. “It makes no sense if people are fighting corruption and they are corrupt. So, tell us, don’t keep quiet.”

50% OF KADUNAS TEACHERS FAILED PRIMARY 4 TEST.

50% of teachers in Kaduna State  failed primary 4 test set for them as pre-condition for re-absorption into the civil service, Governor Nasir El-Rufai disclosed this when chiefs and traditional rulers from Southern Kaduna paid him a courtesy call on Tuesday.

The governor also disclosed that students who were sent on overseas study were being withdrawn due to poor academic performance.

He expressed shocks over what he described as “shameful performance of the students because their academic performance in secondary schools back home were ‎convincing enough that they would do better outside Nigeria.”

“This is a clear demonstration of the government’s effort towards improving teachers capacity for effective teaching and learning in public schools,”.  El-Rufai

The royal fathers, led by Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isah Muhammadu said they decided to visit the governor to express happiness over the recent re-opening of tertiary institutions closed down in Southern Kaduna, since December 2016, as a result of insecurity in the area.

Bayelsa: Epie Girl killed by an Igbo Ritualist

A new turn of event has bemoan Biogbolo Town in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state over a ritual killing of Biogbolo indigen by an Igbo man who's name as of when writing this piece is unknown.

The victim, a girl of 18yrs ( name withheld) was brutally murdered by an Igbo man who booked her for a night at a disclosed hotel which pictures are shown below, the WAPO GUEST HOUSE.  From our source we learnt that the victim raised alarm when she was stabbed again and again and that drew the attention of other occupant of the guest house who came to her rescue.  The manager and the ritualist are on the run. Four Igbo shops were attacked and goods were cartered away by the angry youth of Biogbolo.

A BOY GOT RAPED AT SCHOOL WHILE A GIRL SMILE ON THE FOREGROUND.

A photo surfaced on Facebook last Friday that shows a student being forced at gunpoint to perform oral sex on a group of boys in an alley.

A smiling young girl is seen in the foreground of the photo in a selfie position.

Behind the girl in the narrow, red-bricked alley, a boy wearing a blue t-shirt can be seen on his knees, his back toward the camera, with his face in the crotch of a boy who we suspect to be the capon of the group, standing over him. The boy is wearing a white t-shirt and with his right hand is pointing a handgun at his victim kneeling before him. His left hand is in a controlling position on the back of the victim’s head. The rapist’s face cannot be seen as he is looking backward at his fellow rapists.

At least six other boys can be seen crowded in behind the gunman. One standing on his right appears to be undoing his jeans and trouser to be the next one to orally rape the victim.

Bayelsa Corp Member Proposes to Fellow Corpper.

A corp member of the batch A, stream 11, openly proposed to a female corp member who happened to be his girlfriend in Bayelsa state at the peace park parade ground opposite government house yesterday.

FG To Share Contraceptive Pills/ Device To Women And Teenage Girls.

 

Contraceptive pills are birth control drugs and are very effective at preventing pregnancy if you take it exactly as you are supposed to – one pill a day, taken at the same time each day. 

Federal Government is to spend N915m on counterpart funding for the procurement of contraceptive commodities this year. The sum is part of the total sum of N31.bn allocated to the Federal Ministry of Health in the 2017 Appropriation Bill currently before the National Assembly. According to our source, the huge sum will be spent on contraceptives based on what government called 2016 forecast.

 

Federal government is taking this step to cube the impending population explosion of  Nigeria. From past forecast, Nigeria population will hit 200 million by 2020 and 433 million by 2050. This suggests that the Nigerian population will grow by roughly 263 million in the next 38 years. It is now roughly 180 million.

  The Federal Government, from my own view point, has a different angle to this. It soul aim is to lower the raising population of christian since it is against the norms of Muslims to use condom or contraceptive. The Muslims never believe in the use of  contraceptive and to them it against their religion. To Muslims it is wrong to mull a birth control law due to poverty when it is only God who can provide for his creatures.

 

 If you can recall in July 2012, the council of Ulamas in Gombe State kicked against the birth control law being considered by the former president Dr. Good-Luck Jonathan, describing it unacceptable. The chairman of the council, Sheikh Adam Hamza Abdulhamid, who spoke in Gombe during the N65million appeal fund launch to fund activities of the Jama'atul Izalatul Bid'ah waiqamatul sunnah (JIBWIS) in the state, promised to mobilize his colleagues against the law. He also called on the National Assembly then, to give the bill the same treatment they gave to the same sex marriage bill if it ever gets to them. 

 

Statistic from UNICEF shows that the ratio of Christians to Muslims who use condom/ contraceptive  are 10 to 1. This idea of the Federal Government to cube our population is a welcome development but should be targeted at the Muslims which will help in eliminating the Almajiri culture which  epitomizes child abuse, social exclusion and chronic poverty in all ramifications.
