FG To Share Contraceptive Pills/ Device To Women And Teenage Girls.

 

Contraceptive pills are birth control drugs and are very effective at preventing pregnancy if you take it exactly as you are supposed to – one pill a day, taken at the same time each day. 

Federal Government is to spend N915m on counterpart funding for the procurement of contraceptive commodities this year. The sum is part of the total sum of N31.bn allocated to the Federal Ministry of Health in the 2017 Appropriation Bill currently before the National Assembly. According to our source, the huge sum will be spent on contraceptives based on what government called 2016 forecast.

 

Federal government is taking this step to cube the impending population explosion of  Nigeria. From past forecast, Nigeria population will hit 200 million by 2020 and 433 million by 2050. This suggests that the Nigerian population will grow by roughly 263 million in the next 38 years. It is now roughly 180 million.

  The Federal Government, from my own view point, has a different angle to this. It soul aim is to lower the raising population of christian since it is against the norms of Muslims to use condom or contraceptive. The Muslims never believe in the use of  contraceptive and to them it against their religion. To Muslims it is wrong to mull a birth control law due to poverty when it is only God who can provide for his creatures.

 

 If you can recall in July 2012, the council of Ulamas in Gombe State kicked against the birth control law being considered by the former president Dr. Good-Luck Jonathan, describing it unacceptable. The chairman of the council, Sheikh Adam Hamza Abdulhamid, who spoke in Gombe during the N65million appeal fund launch to fund activities of the Jama'atul Izalatul Bid'ah waiqamatul sunnah (JIBWIS) in the state, promised to mobilize his colleagues against the law. He also called on the National Assembly then, to give the bill the same treatment they gave to the same sex marriage bill if it ever gets to them. 

 

Statistic from UNICEF shows that the ratio of Christians to Muslims who use condom/ contraceptive  are 10 to 1. This idea of the Federal Government to cube our population is a welcome development but should be targeted at the Muslims which will help in eliminating the Almajiri culture which  epitomizes child abuse, social exclusion and chronic poverty in all ramifications. 

 

The Almajiri grows up in the streets without the love, care and guidance of parents; his struggle for survival exposes him to abuse (homosexuality and pedophilia), used as a slave, brainwashed and recruited for anti-social activities and used for destructive and violent activities.

Be careful; because these people may want to appear like your friends due to strategic and calculative reasons and will likely mask their true feelings with eagerness and compliments. Your intuition should always be in the know.

2. The friend who add no meaning to your life.

Bad friends couldn’t care less about your well-being or interest, and this shows in the context of your interactions. They’ll hang out when it’s convenient for them. Getting to know you isn’t important—they just find you convenient for the moment. 

Friends like these, always bring their problems to you and expect you to solve them, but when things are rough for you or you need something from them, they are nowhere to be found or they give you all manner of excuses. This kind of friend acts like you're their best friend when you are together. They are always making plans and promising to keep in touch, but they never do. As soon as you're out of sight, it's as if they have forgotten you even exist. They just don’t want to prioritize their time with you and the only time they do will be when they need you to accompany them to beach parties or clubhouses. They end up landing you in trouble that you never anticipated.

 

Not everything is always what it appears to be, including friendships. The ultimate sign of a bad friend can be shown with something as simple as the Duck Test: If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is probably a duck. You can spot a bad “friend” by observing that person’s habitual characteristics.

Good friendships are based on loyalty, sincerity, trust, respect, love, and laughter. Take inventory of the people in your life. Upon close examination, you will know in your heart who matters and who is just a bad friend, incapable of true friendship and unworthy of yours.

A Witch Got Trapped After Meeting, on An Electric Pole.

Do you believe in witchcraft? If you don't then ask yourself what an old woman of 70 plus, will be doing on an electric pole at about 7am in the morning. It is bizarre to think that this old woman climbed the pole all by herself, sleepwalking. The only explanation for this is witchcraft. The woman was trapped on an electric pole on her way back from her witchcraft mission. She was lucky that the electric cables has no transmission. These incidents happen today in one of the towns along Okordia/ Zarama axis all in Bayelsa State.

The Children Who Never Had a Chance: Four Kids Burnt to Death

The metropolitan of Yenagoa Bayelsa state capital witnessed a tragic event in the early part of today at Opolo, involving four kids who were burnt to death in the absence of their mother. From a close source, we learned that the mother of the four kids had left the children yesterday evening in her shack of a home to hustle for the night in preparation for Xmas. The mother of the dead kids who could not be controlled by her loss despite good neighbors who tried to calm her down swore to take her life. We are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire which the neighbors claim not to know.

Though some neighbors who we interview show no remorse for the victim. From the side talk gossip of two ladies, we learned that she had numerous men who come around to take her out for the night, leaving the children all alone to take care of themselves.

We later learned that the mother of the kids drank snipper (a popular mosquito killer) in other to take her life. Presently, she is admitted to the Federal Medical Center (F.M.C) Yenagoa.
